Scholarship Information

Dear Coach:

The THSWPA is offering six $500.00 scholarships to be presented at the State Meet. If you have a Senior powerlifter who has a desire to go to college, and has a financial need, please submit an application for that student to your Regional Director two weeks prior to your Regional Meet.

Criteria for Application

1. No more than one application per school.
2. One Student will be awarded a scholarship from each Region.
3. Student must be a senior.
4. Student must have at least a 3.0 G.P.A..
5. Student must have a financial need.
6. Four statements must be submitted on behalf of the student:
   • From the student(100 words or less) "What Powerlifting has Meant to Me"
   • From the student(100 words or less) "My College Plans".
   • From her coach(100 words or less).
   • From her teacher (100 words or less)
7. School must have TSHWPA dues paid by due date.
8. Application must be received by Regional Director no later than two weeks prior to Regional Meet.
9. Proof of G.P.A. required (Example: Transcripts of official school document).
